I heard there was this thing in the blogging world called “wordless Wednesday”. It’s not that often that I’m speechless, but sometimes I am wordless.
Sometimes, I’m searching for a word and can’t find it. It’s like trying to find a particular item in a hoarder’s closet. You know it’s there, but you can’t see it, feel it, or find it! (Don’t ask me how I know that!)
At the risk of being wordy, I’m going to tell you why you’re seeing these pictures. I have a garage full of stuff. Cool stuff. Stuff that is finding it’s way into my house. (Like yesterday’s screen doors.)
And onto my walls. This is some of that stuff. A pair of old blue shutters and a sign I made out of an old table top. I think it really adds something to this hallway. What do you think?
Today, my sister is coming over to help me clean my house. The kitchen is finally done, so there will be no more construction or debris-making in this house. It’s time to clean the sawdust, paint splatters and grout grime once and for all. I’m actually looking forward to it! Maybe I’ll even blog about it!
Bye from the bungalow,

Hi, I'm Jean. I live in historic Butte, Montana in a Craftsman home built in 1920. This blog is all about my adventures (and sometimes misadventures) in updating and decorating my house with antiques and vintage goods I find at garage sales, thrift stores, estate sales or wherever cool things from the past are waiting to be discovered.
I love it, Jean! Love the shutters and the sign. I think they look perfect on this wall.
Those are the neatest shutters I have ever seen and love the sign displayed on them. Great spot for them too.
Blessings,
Audrey Z.

I love the look of the shutters and that sign is so cute!
I love it…a perfect spot too!
Love the shutters Jean! and the sign – what a great idea to use the hall wall! Shutters are a sore subject in our house. My husband, who is normally very patient with my hoarding habit actually BURNED a cute shutter I had rescued from my neighbor’s trash
I couldn’t believe he had done that! (sigh)
You don’t see my wall in my hall (lol) unless you are coming down the stairs (so only family members usually!) but I have often wondered if I should hang something there. Maybe now I will! Thanks for the idea. Now, to go searching in my garage attic before he starts cleaning again!

Thtairway is an amazing spot for your shutters and sign. It looks wonderfule whether you are looking at it from the bottom or from the top or still standing if front of it on the middle landing. Excellant choice!
Hi, Jean
I love the sign on the shutters. What a great idea. I am also drooling over that lovely chair. If I lived close to you I would be your best friend. LOL, you are awesome!
