Here Comes The Bride

I received a text on Friday asking “Do you have a buffet for sale?”.

To which I replied, “Yes, but it’s not painted yet.”  After I explained how I had planned to paint it, I got an “I’ll take it!”.

First piece of furniture of mine EVER to be sold before I painted it!

This is one piece of furniture that really deserves the label much-better-in-person.  It’s deliciously creamy!

It has also been rented for a wedding in September sight unseen.

I don’t think I will ever tire of this French-script stencil.  It’s the same one I used for the tufted headboard I did a while back.

I also spent a couple of days painting these bread boards into wedding signs.  (Graphics can be found on Graphics Fairy)

All  that’s left to paint are the arrows pointing the direction to each event.  Hence, the “this way” at the bottom of the sign. I like the idea of a “spinning” arrow so that the customer who rents these signs can determine which direction they’d like the sign to point.  My customer would like me to paint the arrow onto the board directly since there are two of each sign… so you could have one arrow pointing left and one pointing right…depending on your choice.

I know that would be much easier, so I guess I’d best get on it already!

I also started moving some of my pieces into a new store in town called The Rusty Canvas.  Head over and show them some facebook love, please! Pictures to follow soon!

So….What did you do with your weekend?

Bye from the bungalow,

  4. Can’t tell you how much I love these! The graphics are perfect and the idea of a spinning arrow would be smart too, when needed. All the best with your sales and rentals!

Really great pieces…love the color combo on the buffet. I’ll put the Rusty Canvas on places to visit in Butte, America! Nice job, as always!

  8. Amazing everything… I gotta try the “Menu” chalkboard, it’s on my list!, and after seeing it on your sign I want it even more. I’ve got the spray chalkboard paint and it’s toooo cold and snowy to paint outside! Love the buffet, sold before you even painted it… it came out GORGEOUS! My DD has a wedding in her future…thanks for the great idea’s!

going to see many days of happiness as a wedding rental!
