This, That and the Other

I was so happy when I saw that Funky Junk Interiors (aka Donna) featured my Guest Bedroom Reveal on her Facebook wall that I gave out a squeal and did the Russian Dance of Happiness!  And then I got an email from Kammy at Kammy’s Korner yesterday who said that she’d like to feature my post, as well (this prompted the Jig of Joy), but that she couldn’t see any more of the post than the first paragraph.

Wha?  (abruptly end all Happy Dances.)

She was right.  When I went to my Guest Bedroom Reveal post, the majority of it was gone!  All the pictures, gone!  I have no idea how long it had been like that or how many people clicked over to see the postest with the mostest and didn’t see anything!  Enter Mr. Wonderful to the rescue again!  (Sound of cavalry trumpets, thundering gallop of hooves!)  Fortunately,  he’s a subscriber to my page and saves all the Backyard Bungalow posts, so I was able to copy and paste the post and restore it from an email.

All except for all those parties that I linked it to.

I can’t for the life of me remember all of the places that I linked it up to and I know how gauche it is to link the same post more than once to a party. Soooo….If you are the host of a party, or an avid reader and actually still have a memory (unlike myself) and know where you’ve seen this post linked up, please let me know so I can add it!! I will be eternally grateful and if you’re ever in Montana you can sleep in the “famous” guest bedroom!

In other blog news, I finally got my “About Me” page up!  Yay me!  Or should I say Yay, Mr. Wonderful!  He wrote it, he worked some computer wizardry, he rocks!  He also helped me get my “Bragging Buttons” page up.  This is the page that houses the buttons of blogs where I’ve been featured.

Again, since I procrastinated so long in getting that ding-dang page up, I have forgotten several of the pages that have featured me.  Sooo, if you have featured me and you don’t see your button, let me know.  I don’t want to leave anyone out!  The more I have to brag about the better I feel about myself.

Even more good news!  I have signed on and been accepted to be a retailer of Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk paint!  Woohoo!! I am both excited and terrified!  It’s a huge investment for me monetarily and I hope I am up to the task of handling what I think will be a huge success for both Miss Mustard Seed and myself.

I will be selling it at the Vintage Whites Market in August, (hopefully, it depends on the launch date and delivery) and at the Prairie Sisters Party in September.  I’m also planning to sell it online as soon as it’s available and as soon as I can talk Mr. Wonderful into designing me a website that can handle online sales!

And just so you’re not completely bored by all this blogging blather, here’s ONE of the pieces of furniture that I’ve been working on.

And a closeup of all the gloriously distressed details:

It’s painted in Annie Sloan’s Country Grey with hand-painted details in Graphite to coordinate with the dark graphic that I Citrasolved onto the table.  I got the graphic from Graphics Fairy.   All of her graphics are FREE!!  I like this table so much, I may even keep it!

Bye from the bungalow,

  1. That end table is really cute! Congrats on all the happy news! (Just ignoring the post which disappeared as all the rest of it is happy news…)

  2. You go with the features!! When I moved my blog – I lost every single pic (over 100 posts)!! Still don’t have them all back!! Oh well, not going to stress about it.

And that table is amazing – and congrats on the Chalk Paint – it will sell like hotcakes!

    • Kelly, that’s terrible. I guess that explains why I went to an old post and couldn’t see any pictures….as usual, I thought it was me!
I just recently looked at a store front that would be perfect for my furniture biz. I couldn’t get the girl to commit to me, though. I’m really hoping to get the space and start selling the milk paint there and have classes, as well. Again…totally terrified to take this step, but soooo excited at the same time!

  3. Good luck with all your new endeavors! Love the table! It turned out just beautiful!!
